Part Exchange Probs?

Hi guys. Has anyone else had any probs when part exchanging a car? My dealer said they would sort out the outstanding finance on my last car when I bought the civic. They sent the £4000+ settlement cheque to me at first by mistake instead of Renault. I returned the cheque to the dealer to send to Renault as requested. A month and a half later, Renault still have no settlement cheque. I was given a Royal Mail tracking # which still says it has not been delivered, and a phone call to Renault has also confirmed this. I have been pestering the finance manager at my dealer who is just huffing and puffing about the Royal Mail not delivering a recorded delivery item. I'm gonna ask them to write out another cheque which I'll send myself by special delivery.

Anyway, I don't think I'll stay loyal to this dealer as they don't give a toss about clearing my finance and they were daft enough to send the cheque to me in the first place!

Can't say I have ever sold a car with finance still outstanding
so no had any issues

Who is the dealer? Phoenix Honda - per chance?

Have to say I have found them to be excellent with our cars

It's Parks. I heard Phoenix were good so I guess I'll go there in 3/4 years time.

Wish I could give some advice - but I can't sorry
other than to say that if you don't stay loyal to parks
give phoenix a go when it come time for servicing

Don't know where you are but we use Phoenix Honda Stirling
and have received really good service
