I believe you get the official download version of this already, with it going on sale in Japan on 13th Dec. I expect that'll change though.

I read somewhere that 'prologue' was going to be a free download like the HD version because we all have to wait soooooooo long for the full game with the Top Gear test track

Indeed a free download is available, but as I don't have a PS3 yet I have to wait for Santa to come to download it.

Thats GT-HD a really cut down version

GT HD was a free download of the scrapped game. GT 5 has a free demo download available from the Japanese store. I've got them both. I like GT HD but am not too keen on GT 5. Will still buy it on it's release. Last I heard it was March it was coming out here.
