the only time I have heard my alarm go of is when I wash the car down with the pressure hose, usually when I hit the car around the front door/wing mirror area.

If u want to try the alarm...

Go inside, lock the car (using key), and then unlocked it (using door lock) on the co-pilot

Then listen to your alarm

No mine doesn't go off in the wind or rain but it does work as my wife can testify whilst at a wedding ( she couldn't find her keys, which were at the bottom of her bag, of course and the alarm continued to ring through the very quite part - prayers)

Essentially, I sat one morning eating my breakfast wondering who's bloody car alarm was going off all the time. Looked out the window to notice it was the beloved Civic making the racket in the communnal car park. Does only seem to be very heavy rain. I'll get it checked at the next service!
