I occasionally have a squeaky dash, but not pillar. Trouble with squeaks and rattles, they are so hard to locate and fix! I guess the only option is to take it into dealer, tell them how to make it happen, and ask them to fix it.

Have you had any other problems? It might be worth waiting a bit, it may fix itslef, or you may find other little niggling problems to give them a list. It will make parting with it for a bit more worth while.

Welcome to the forum, how are you finding the car apart form the squeak?

Give all the trim a good hard push... this fixed a couple of niggly ones for me.

I would not do it. During my test drive I also noticed that problem with squeaky front drivers pilar. Plastic trim was very loose. As I tried to fix it by pushing it firmly, a dealer warned me not to do it. He told me that there is a SRS Airbag installed and my efforts may make it explode.
I was today at Honda dealer. I got into another Civic and I noticed that that trim in front pilar is loose too. Is it like that by every Civic ?

I said trim, not the airbag

Perhaps it is misunderstanding. When I meant a trim for me it was that plastic cover on front pilar where airbag or one of SRS components was installed (according to a dealer)

Took my Civic back to the dealer last week to sort out a squeak from the front of the car, they seemed to know erxactly what it was (possibly the windscreen fittings) and they fixed this along with a lot of other rattles and odd noises that I was getting used to, so it is well worth taking yours back.

Hello chaps,

I have a squeak coming from the top of the windscreen, whenever I drive over an uneven surface. The only thing I could think of was that the chassis must be flexing ever so slightly, and squeaking against a poorly fitted windscreen...... Grr... New cars.....

It's probably the windscreen in most cases.

No sh*t sherlock!

It's either the windscreen, or the bit around the windscreen.... Either way, the windscreen has a part to play.....

Just kidding. Sort of. It's either the windscreen or the surround.

Damian
