Bad in-car isolation
Hello guys! I have a real big problem : if it's cold outside, i really feel very cold inside the car. Let me explain : when travelling with speeds over 40 km/h suddenly it feels very cold inside and i feel the wind at my feet and at my back. The temperature is set to 28 degree but this really doesn't help. What could be the problem? It's a pain in the ass doing over 50 km/h because it IS VERY VERY COLD and a little wind also. For the rear passengers the situation gets even more worse. And also the windows become blurry and sweaty with small waterdrops.Feet are freezeing very bad...
Anyone knows the problem? Thank you, i'm kind of desperate! I need a quick solution because next week i will travel to germany - stuttgart - there are about 2.000 km till there i cannot drive in these conditions. The car is new i buyed it 2 weeks ago. That's a recent problem anyway, since this week. |

I have noticed that if you press the button to block the outside air coming in ( so the in-car air flow) then the car is a lot colder as it regenerated the air already in the car. But other than that I have to say my car is sometimes too hot at 21!

I have noticed thatt whilst teh car is getting warm you get a nice blow of warm air from around the lower dash.
Once the car gets to the temp set and the heater cuts out it does feel as though it is blowing cold but it's just the lack of warm air that is causing this illusion. It does seem unique to this car though, never had it on others. |

Try switching off the auto air con and set the temperature / fan manualy to see if that helps.
If you have the recirculated air on, the windows will mist up more quickly. This is because you are recycling all the moist air you breathe out. Last edited by Munro; 21st December 2007 at 09:27. |
