Some %#$#@!! scratched my bonnet!

On new years eve, i discovered that someone used a key on my bonnet and made a white scratch over the whole width of the bonnet. I was pretty pissed of have also notified the police, but since anyone could've done it, they probably can't do anything.
I haven't visited a repair company yet, but i'm guessing it's gonna be pretty expensive. Hopefully they can make some local repairs and not respray the whole bonnet, but we'll see.
Why can't people just leave our spaceships alone? Is this the way you get punished for having the nicest car in the area?

Sorry to hear that, they are scum. What is a second of pointless amusement for them, is a nightmare for the owner. I really can't understand what people get out of doing this sort of thing. Hope it doesn't cost too much to get sorted.

Really sorry to hear what has happened to your car. I, like dimplyred, can't understand what amusement people get out of doing that.

I hope it isn't that expensive to get repaired.

Same thing happened to me a couple of years ago some wee sh$!e did six cars in our street causing over £7000 worth of damage, The police caught him and he got 3 months community service and we were not paid a penny in compensation, both my self and my wife made expensive insurance claims thinking we would at least get the excess back through the courts, no such luck £500 out of pocket.
Really feel for you, if the police find who did it try and get to them yourself before the nice judge gives them a slap on the wrist.

Thanks for your support guys! I'll make a picture tomorrow so you can see what it looks like.
What annoys me the most, is that i pay a lot of money for my insurance every month, but if i claim this on my insurance, i'll have to pay even more. Isn't this why i have insurance in the first place? What i have paid them in just over a year is more than enough to fix 5 bonnets or so.
