Fobbed off

Has my key suffered from all the spare bits of the space ship that have fallen off and been put in my pocket for safe keeping?
Hope nothing important on that label such as how to apply the handbrake.

The scruffy white bit is actually a sticker - you can easily peel it off to make things look a bit better. It happens to all of them!

Oh yes so you can - how very annoying that I didnt know that before !!

Still pointless putting it on there if its only going to rub away they may as well have just left it blank in the first place.

I thought you knew that ?

Bit of white spirit or meths will make the job easier.

For reference the sticker says :

CE0523
Valeo S0087-A
72147-SMG-E110-M1
Fob 101

Wonder if I've just given away my key No or whether it's generic ?

SNAP. My spare key says the same so either I can drive your car or you can drive mine! At a guess must be generic
Thanks for the info. I can sleep safe at night now knowing that.
Do I drink the white spirit/meths or rub it on?

On my January/08 delivered ES Key Fob there is no sticker.

The data you refer to is now embossed in the plastic.

Topcat, have you decided on a new car yet?

'Honest John' seems to like the Focus...

"...On top of all that Ford of Europe is on a bit of a roll. If you want a new Mondeo diesel or an S-Max you have to join the queue and wait as long as six months. “Discount, sir. Well we can do you a few points off, but forget any residual-destroying five grand off.” The end result is showing through at the auctions with genuine values ahead of ‘quality’ cars like the Passat and Touran. The German public, if not the British, is finally waking up to the fact that a modern Ford is a high quality product, as good if not better than a VW or a Honda or a BMW and snapping at the heels of Audi..."

Dunno whether I'd go quite that far, and no Focus is going to have the looks of a Civic. But I for one, will be giving it a test drive when the 'Powershift' feature is released in March.

I might still stay with the Civic of course. But daft not to try.

Should we add 'dodgy sticker on key' to the things to check on delivery.

Blimey, what else can you guys moan about?

"Our next door neighbour,
Her bum is so ugly,
If it was a house,
She would not get a mortgage on it!

Dont think you of all people are in any position to accuse people of moaning when you spent months and months moaning about lack of a rear wiper when you bought the car knowing it didnt have one !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At least everyone else "moans" about issues that they knew nothing about on delivery.
