Passenger Seat

Had someone getting into the rear of my CTR yesterday for first time and the passenger seat release handle only releases at the top of its limit and you need to be the world strongest man/woman to get it there!
Anyone else had the same problem and if so is it a simple self adjust or a humbling visit to the dealer?

Yeh, it is a bit stiff to say the least. Even worse if there is the slightest forward pressure put on the seat before the catch is fully released, I keep telling my kids......pull it all the way up BEFORE trying to force the seat forwards.

Yep mine is the same but I think we have all got used to it now.

Talking of seats, I was looking on the Spoon Europe site - they do a replacement seat for the type R with fully adjustable recline (not the ratchet) for £395! I'm not sure how it slides forward though.

Why dont you just use to lower lever, which is used for tilting the back of the sit, on the bottom side of the seat? It does the same job and it is much easier to pull!

Hmmmm! I may try that! Won't you loose the seat setting by using that?

But you lose the seat setting anyway when you slide the seat forward, so it doesn't really matter.

We had ours replaced as it froze up - the car was only a few weeks old! This is most certainly a design fault.

If I use the top, side level to move the seats forward, it does click back into the correct position on my car!
