Wobbly FN2 Type R
Very strange problem... but hope someone may have an answer!
A few days ago a was driving along as normal, going through some fast corners, and it just felt like I had a flat tyre! The steering now doesn't feel sharp, but the tyres are all correctly inflated and were checked wednesday and today. So, it's not a puncture. Any clues? When driving along before I could be quite brutal with changes in direction and it felt flat and solid... but not now! Cheers guys... but I think Honda will be getting a call tomorrow either way! |

If its not the tyre pressures , it might be the steering allignment - have you been thru any big potholes or speed humps that may have knocked it out. If it is the allignment its well worth getting it sorted quick to stop excessive tyre wear as well as improving the steering.
If in doubt - visit the dealers as you say. The last thing you want is a steering failure ! |

Some other members of this site have reported a problem with their steering and the EPS system. According to the boys at the AA, there can be a problem. Although yours seems to be more when driving than just on start up

It's not the vsa kicking in mid corner perhaps ?, I sometimes do a tyre check when I'm driving along about 60 mph by sharply turning the wheel left & right [same as the track drivers trying to keep heat in tyres] 1st couple of times I thought I had damaged tyres then switched the vsa off and it was fine, couldn't help wondering though that it might be unsettling if it kicked in mid corner on a fast b-road section
The VSA on the Honda seems more keen to kick in than my last car [Mk5 Golf] but maybe it's simply due to the higher speeds I tend to take corners at |
