Stick with the Swindon Space ship.

I will.

Just can't get enough of those admiring glances.

Thanks for all those replies. I feel more assured now. Obviously any new model will have teething problems and what I am hoping is that by the time I get mine in May it will be a far more reliable car than it was.

I'm still bothered by the poor sound quality from the radio, there doesn't seem to be any real bass to it and from what I've read, the bass options don't appear to be worth the money. Since I won't own the car there is no point in spending on other modifications to it either.

I-noel, the survey was a good idea - thanks.

Well, fingers crossed it all works out. A new 2.2SE in Champagne Silver with leather seats. Now if only Honda had decided to allow the option of a sunroof that opens and it would be perfect.

I have just ordered a 2.2 S Type GT in NHB (Company Car) and like you have been a bit unsettled by some of the comments on here, but feel that what the hell if its rubbish and breaks down all the time... Its not mine and will still look sexy on the drive

It won't be here till the 1st of march but already I have gone out and bought the dual CAN lead (its coming with Sat/Nav) and the Ipod kit for it

After all having it factory fitted with all the extras has a nasty effect on the company car tax

Why do you constantly have to keep reminding everyone that your car is perfect althoug how you have escaped a paint chip is beyond me if it is used on a daily basis, they must have really broke the mould when they made your car!! would it have got on your nerves if I started every post with;

"I had my car for almost two years, the last one was a replacement both civics spent all their time at the dealers having the same faults fixed over and over again"

Yes it would have got on your nerves as it would have been a pointless comment to make over and over again and would have irritated all those that haven't had many or any issues, just as I am sure your constant reminder irritates those with problems.
I don't think it's fair to think you can spread out every problem you encountered with you car in detail, and on the other hand get upset when other people mention their civic is just fine when their opinion is asked, as in this thread.
I know that some of us maybe say it it bit more often than others, but I also think that it is completely legitimate to say once in while that the civic is a good car. 'Cause it is!
Yes, even I can give you a list with al the "bugs" I found in my civic, but still I think it's a good car.
We all know the suffering you went through TC, and despite all that, I do believe you liked the car, and hated to see it go. And in this perspective Brod's remarks might hurt even more, but still...
People who want to buy a civic and take a peek at this forum for extra info, might get the impressions that civics are crap, and they are not. Obviously you use a forum more in case of a problem, but let's just give some counterweigt from time to time.

Well said, in all fairness I think most owners love their Civic and the vast majority of the cars have been up to the normal Honda Standards of reliability. To sum up , what other car of it`s class gives so much pleasure and excitement

I believe they call it a CAN bus that connects the CD Changer, Ipod Kit and Sat Nav all together the lead I got came from another link on the forum and saved a fortune over the original honda one.

Its to allow an ipod kit to be attached if you have the sat nav installed (a Y splitter)
