Radio Reset?!??!
Hi,
I've had my 08 model Type-R for almost a month now, and I've noticed that the Radio resets itself for no reason sometimes!?? The first time it happened, I had an MP3 CD in and I clicked the "Channel Up" button on the steering wheel, all off a sudden it had a think then the radio turned itself off and then on again...was a bit strange and it made an acoustic pop (that's the technical term - seriously!). It also happened again when I changed track via the radio buttons too (but on a diff day)....happened 4 times in total, in 1 month. Anyone encountered this yet? Thinking of taking it to the dealer and getting it sorted. Cheers |

Thanks for the reply, but all my discs are finalized. Used them in all my other cars without trouble....it's definitely a fault with the software. It seems to get in an error state loop (which would explain the pause), then resets itself after a timeout period.
Just wondering if anyone else has had this or if mine is an isolised case? Thanks |

Not had the same problem, but I regularly get a split second of radio silence, happens very often, driving along listening to radio 1 and it just goes silent......only for half a second or so, but enough to make you notice, and often wait for the hands free to ring......as it goes silent when the phone rings!!
But it is not..........I know I need to go to the dealer but know it will probably not do it whilst there!!! |

Thats what I thought, but it can happen about 10 times on a two mile journey, and happens even when stereo button is not flashing!
I know it's minor, but it's really annoying!! |
