I prefer not having the rear wiper, keeps a smoother line to back of the car.
If its good enough for the Audi TT it's good enough for my Civic!!

Could someone make one? Adding a jet wash is probably easier than a wiper.

I back this motion, i mean lets be honest it is not going to affect the aero dynamics much if it is on the back if the car is designed well enough i would like the think the air would of dispersed by the time it got there.

I'm one of the not bothered/like it as it is brigade.

Over the years I've driven vans with no rear window, trucks and buses. Not being able to see 'exactly' what's behind is no big issue for me. As long as the windscreen, side windows and door mirrors are clear, that's enough for me.

Agree 100%; besides which the rear window (the back of the car infact) doesnt get that dirty (relative to the rest of the car that is!); thanks to its better aerodynamics. Take a look at that back of pretty much any VW Golf IV and you will see what I mean, they are alway filthy due to poor(er) dynamics that suck in the road spray and settle on the car.

The rear screen on the Civic is high enough and angled enough to be out of the way of the worst stuff anyway!

I also put Rain-X on my rear screen - great stuff!

Hi DeanFYoung

I agree Deano. I put RainX on my rear screen and I haven't had a problem with the rear screen even if the bottom half gets mucky. And like Kremmen I also drive police vans on a regular basis now and have been taught how to use the side mirriors so the rear view visibility is not an issue. It also helps you to park more accurately.

Unfortunately a wiper and motor etc is not free, therefore unless you are willing to loose something else or pay more, it won't happen. The number of people willing to pay is less than 35%

PS I don't want one as the motor would have to be suspended from the glass and the tailgate is too heavy anyway!! Oh and I prefer the looks without it.

Rain-ex, Red Ex, Tippex, Andrex, Fed Ex, Duran Duran!

No substitute for a wiper!

As I have said many times before Millie is real special, and she must be different from alll the other Civics, she needs a wiper!

No, I don't want four wipers.

I only want one!

.....and that'll be at the back!

So you'd trade your two front wipers for one back wiper?
