Oh Dear!

Just found out my new Black ex has been kindly driven down both driverside doors on my work sites carpark #(network rail premises), security took photos and filled out an incident report and thats about all they can do... looks like its going to be pay up time for me ... any ideas on how much this will cost? two long dented lines arcross both doors with slight paint crack at the reinforced sections, i will get photos when i can, just really peed off at the moment that drivers dont take responibility for there actions and drive off.

Any surveillance cams @ the place? Maybe there's a video of the culprit

Sorry to hear about the damage. If the dents aren't to bad, it might be worth trying somebody like Chips Away.

Pullman House, as an address, might conjure up thoughts of an old Victorian office block with an impressive façade. Not a bunch of portacabins

No surveillance cameras unfortunately, even went into an office with an onlooking window to see if they have seen anything, but no luck.

If it is a costly repair job, can you claim on your insurance. They will class it as a hit and run. You will just pay the excess of course.

I know what it feels like, it happened to me a several years ago with a 2 month old Astra.

It also happened 3 times with my astra at home when i lived in a different area before the civic, some one ripped off my wing mirror one night and drove/scraped the door another day, also had the roof keyed the front wing dented and the other rear arch driven down, i dont think i'll bother with a new car after this one... I'm one lucky fella huh!

I have my car booked in on the 10th march for my dodgy stereo that doesn't work, so i guess i'll be getting a quote from them on that day for the body damage.

ouch

On the plus side, looks like they could have easily taken out the wheel arches too, but managed to miss them and the wheels.

Scant consolation though

Chips Away are certainly worth a call, but be aware they are a franchise, so see if you can find someone local who has used them.

I am of an age, where I always considered that a damaged car, would never be the same after repair.
This doesn't apply these days, with a good repair shop and all their high tech equipment.
Tis a sod I know, but apart from the expence, all will be well, when completed.

A P.N.C.B. is a must nowdays, for the few quid layout. Wont help with the excess though.

Just make sure if you can not to tell insurance company where you parked if you have any evidence against anyone else as Double yellows and on a pavement are not a plus lol

Sorry anyways to hear about that mate i know how you must feel i myself take so much pride in my car and it is gut renching when something like that happens

well, got an estimate from Lookers, Honda's authorised accident repair garage in Derby £1200
They said if i want it looking flawless its 2 new door shells.
so i guess its going to be an insurance job.
Up goes my premium and the loss of 4 yrs no claims i guess...

If you feel you can live with it, you could just leave it for a while and see if someone else runs into you and get them to pay for it!

Pity it's not on the other side as there would be a good chance some idiot could hit you as they veer across lanes on a roundabout, which so many seem to do.

That is a sizeable estimate But you have to go for the full repair as you'll lose what you say in any case. Big reminder of the advantages of going for NCB protection.

I am looking forward to pics of it looking brand new again. Good luck !

£19.95p extra on my premium for the P.N.C.B.
Worth every penny, tis only the price of a couple of pairs of Y fronts from M & S.

Sorry to hear that although your insurance company may not take all you NCB, they might only take 1,2 or 3 yrs. Some insurance companies will also (very few and far inbetween though) not count this against you.
