5 door boot spoiler clips rubbing off paint
Hi guys, i just had my boot struts replaced which has helped slightly for the boot to open itself but having a closer look at new stuts i noticed that the metal clips to hold on the boot spoiler are rubbing on the paint work inside the boot at both sides. By the look of it there has been rubber pads stuck on the edges of these clips to stop the rubbing but they dont seem to be working. It not a major issue just now but its down to the metal and i dont want it 2 blister the paint outside the of the boot area. Anyone esle have this problem? do you all have the rubber pads or are my clips needing adjusted? I will let my dealer have a look when i get time. I will also take photos later and post them so its clear what the problem is.

Does no one else suffer from this problem? If not do your clips look the same? |

Well, if anything was completely a Dealer problem, that is Muz.
If they fitted it, which they must have done, as its a dealer fit option, then they can sort it out for you. Get it back to them as soon as possible, though they may well say, -- Why didn't you notice it before it went so far. Dig your heels in, you shouldn't need to go round checking their work every 5 minutes. |
