Glove Box Rattle

Hi All,

Sorry if this is in the wrong area but 1st post

Ive got a rattle coming from above my glove box very annoying driving me up the wall,

It sounds like its the air vent that cools the glove box resting on top of the top plastic enclose of the glove box..

I know its not the door because it does it if its open or closed, and i can stop it by just pushing up on the top of the glove box..

Anyway my question is how do you get the glove box out?
Ive looked at all the posts regarding getting the the radio etc etc but non of them focus on the glove box alone.

any one got any pics of this?

Regards

Mike

Hi mike,

I have the same problem with mine and it is only one week old. Did you found the problem? Can you suggest anything to solve it?

All info on glovebox removal can be found on the forum.

There are nine panels to remove in order :-
1) Driver's-side dash end triangle.
2) Driver's-side under-dash panel.
3) Gearstick silver trim.
4) Centre console rear (piece with cupholders and cig lighter).
5) Centre console front, (piece with silver odds-and-ends box).
6) Passenger-side dash end triangle.
7) Passenger-side under-dash panel.
Glovebox door.
9) Glovebox.

Get the picture, gulp. Hope I haven't forgotten any.

Not as daunting as it sounds, all fairly straightforward and takes maybe 2 hours.

Just a (silly?) thought but I would be afraid of adding more rattles if I do the above
