Car is dead

Listen to this one guys...My civic is only 2 weeks old, I take it to a spot in the morning every day, park and then take public transport to go to work. Today when i came back in the evening, it wouldnt unlock with the remote no matter what i tried. Having already read this thread a week ago, i tried the key, the door opens ofcourse but other than that, everything is DEAD! no lights, put the key in ignition in all positions, start button nothing works. Tried every single combination of locking/unlocking with key in ignition or in door lock, manual locking from inside...NOTHING!

I am extremely disappointed, and cant figure it out. Tomorrow Ill call the dealer, definately it will be fixed but its a bit worrying that you'd have this problem in a brand new car - makes u wonder what adventures the future may hold! The only excuse i can find is the batt, but how can that happen in only 2 weeks time, having done 250km (not much, but not little either)???

If anyone can assist i'd be grateful!

I had this and went to the back of the car and pressed the open key and it worked - this has worked on more than one occasion. God knows why but it did!

That's my only thing I can tell you!

Sounds like it could be the battery.

Or the boot hadnt closed properly. That's what happened to mine, there's a very fine line between closed and not quite closed enough to turn the boot light off - and it's difficult to see that it's not closed, it's more of a feel thing.

Ok so now i know the cause - Rallakias you were right. Its the most stupid thing in the world...The parking lights were left on (blinking) by accident since i was in rush to catch the bus, so after 8hrs or someth the battery simply ran out. I jump-started it using the cables and then took it for 35-40min drive to charge the battery a bit. I hope that will be enough... *** everyone for yr comments

I have noticed that doors cannot be locked with remote if any door or boot is not properly closed.
It is good to ensure that turn indicators flash three times, when you press lock from remote and walk away from car.
