Exclamation Sorry Please read (Lancaster Honda)

I am feeling a wee bit stupid at the moment , for around six months now i have complaining to Lancaster Honda about an interior vibration noise , fair play they have had all the panels off the dashboard out but still no cure to the buzzing/vibrating noise , that was until Saturday 5th when one of the techys rang me up to say weve found the vibrating noise (Great, superb this noise has been doing my nut in) its the keys hanging on your keyring (Dubious , ok ) . So i arrange collection for Monday 7th , take curtosy car back see girl at reception and Gordon comes out (the techy) and says shall we take her for a run? ok.......... um yeh , cut a long story short took car for run took keys off ring half way round and hey presto no more noise ....how blumin stupid do feel , so a great big thankyou to Gordon and appologies all round for being a pain in the bum. Really funny!
My missus keeps asking me she hears a metallic rattling noise and yes, as you have found out, its the keys!

Oh well, at least you can now enjoy a rattle-free journey

To Trace Any Rattle/noise Etc All Items Must Be Removed From The Car. I Bet They Take Keys Off The Key Ring Next Time.

Which is precisely why my car key has a fob on it and nothing else, all my hous ekeys etc are on a seperate ring that stays in my pocket, doesn't rattle then

Oh and have they said when they'll be sending you the bill for their wasted time

I had a similar experience and it turned out to be my metal watch bracelet

Fortunately didn't get to the dealer stage so only you and me know about it.

I have found that some interior car noises don't come from where you think they do, sort of an optical illusion but with sound. I thought I had a rattle over by the glovebox but it turned out to be something inside the centre console.
