Hi,
I have a 07 Type R Gt and my one and only only niggle is the front bumper keeps popping out of place - when I push it back it makes a click as if it's clip is popping back in but next time I look it's out again. It's a matter of mm here, but once you notice something it draws your eye. I took it to the dealer who took over an hour to take bumper off and put it back assuring me it was ok - by the time I got home it was back out. Had it looked at again last week when in for first service - an extra hour and a half wait this time - "all fine" I was told - 10 minutes later back out. I'm wondering if it's because I'm liveing in the European Speed Bump test zone Has anyone had this problem with their front bumper? It's where it comes around the light up to the front wing. |

bumper clip
Hi **...
That's a new one on me.. Never heard this one before. Are you the first owner..? Has it had a bump to the front even just a slight parking shunt might have been enough to snap a clip or two. Sounds like the clips are needing replaced on your front bumper.. I'd take it to another Honda Stealer, it sounds like your current one is no good. Hopefully they should sort it out. Good luck n avoid the speed bumps like the plague..!! |

I had the same problem. I ended up taking the bumber and wheel hull trim off to check everything and found that some of the clips were broken. Took back to the dealer and had it replaced. I have a CTR. I only noticed it around the lights.
The wheel hull trim seems to pop out occaisonally - thinking of changing the clips to something more secure. |

Take it back to the dealers again, that's what your warranty is for. If you do any damage trying to fix it then you may have to pay for new parts.

Went to the other dealership on Saturday.....
At first he said they would need to book it in to look at it - I suggested (most politely) I'd rather he stepped outside to look at himself as I'm rather unhappy about it... He said he'd never seen anything like it and all they would do is take off and put on and see if it did the trick and suggested I go to the dealers bodyshop as they are the experts in all things body panel related. So I'm off there this week. |

I too had problems with the front bumper being very loose, I stood with the mechanic while he fixed it. In my case most of the clips were not closed tight enough to hold the bumper. Problem resolved purely by taking off each side of the bumper and pinching the clips slightly before carefully pushing the bumper back into place. Simple job using their plastic tools but care must be taken as the bumper is very soft and will mark easily.
