Hi everyone,
Sorry if this has been mentionned before (can't find it). My 1.8SE went in to have new bump stops fitted last week and also to investigate my creaky windscreen. Also on the job list when I got there was the handbrake recall and also a recall to do with the plastic moulding around the windscreen. To cut a long story short, on some cars the moulding has been rubbing away the paint underneath and therefore leading to rusting. This has been happening to mine and therefore has to go into the body shop for a week to have it sorted. I have to say suspension is now much better since new bump stops fitted and the handbrake much more reliable. Well done Gordon's Honda in Wigan! |

Kemmen, I think it was only models without glass roofs that were affected. It's the paint underneath the seal across the top of the windscreen which is getting damaged.

Must be just the early models then as mine is definately not on the recall list for this.
When I enquired, some time ago now, the first question they asked was, do I have a glass roof. |

Being an SE, mine doesn't have a glass roof. For info, mine is a 56 plate and was made around July/August 06. I suggest anyone whose car is of a similar age and spec to contact their dealer.

Had a service on Saturday and had the handbrake sorted and told that I have to have my windscreen looked at and resprayed but wasn't expecting to be without a car for a week! (above thread)
So.. Question.. When offered a courtesy car, should I have to pay anything ? |

You should definitely not have to pay for a coutesy car. Gordons in Wigan never charge me for a car and this is the case this time. I asked!
