FMEA has homed in on this site as a vehicle in which to try and kickstart a backlash and wider public exposure. The reason is because all his efforts so far have drawn a blank with VOSA.

His motivation is that he's almost certainly working for a rival manufacturer and intent on getting some browny points-if that were not the case he would not have kept it in his back pocket for this length of time

He still has not replied as to whether or not he worked for the company who supplied the parts and if he was involved in the manufacture/supply

There's liitle or no doubt his information re the thread sizes are accurate, but its whether or not this has any significance thats counts.Honda and and VOSA say not and, as far as we have been made aware, there hav'nt been any failures in service.

There is a possiblity that could change in the future and should any instances come to light there is now evidence to point to

Blimey, I go away for a short(ish) while, and everything kicks off. Just waded through this lot hoping to see the conclusive response from FMEA. Wonder how long it is going to take him to post all the evidence?

I've been sitting watching the news with great interest lately reagrding this and have been quite dissapointed to have not seen or heard a thing.

Even more saddened (but utterly unsurprised) to see that FMEA hasnt answered any of our questions.

I will also be attaching a series of documents to my post that will show all Civinfo members the nature of the "true" investigations as have been conducted by Honda and VOSA to date. These documents and others will also hopefully clearly demonstrate why all owners of effected vehicles should not believe for one second the "No problem what so ever/case closed" statement as was issued to Honda dealers yesterday (to quote a post as left by Nice yesterday).
Are we not now into 'late next week'?

LOL

If I realised they was going to be loads of wheels at the side of the road, I should have waited and got a free spare wheel

...i think that he is Greek like me. We like to use the phrase "i will..." so often and then we do nothing.
But i am sure on one thing he will not... He will not write the truth!!!

Dear Civinfo Members

Sincere apologies for the delay in posting my response to Doubtingthomas's open letter and the second "Official Honda Release". The delay has been caused by the Bank Holiday and a very busy week at work.

I will be posting my detailed response tomorrow which should hopefully answer all the questions that have been asked of late, put an end to the "Ford Conspiracy" and will also make my view of the recent official Honda releases very clear.

As stated previously, I will also be attaching a series of documents to my post that will show all Civinfo members the nature of the "true" investigations as have been conducted by Honda and VOSA to date.

I apologize in advance that my post will be very technical in some areas (including references to various legislation) however I feel without this level of detail the true seriousness of this issue, and the fundamental failings of both Honda and VOSA in this matter involving vehicle safety, will not be clear.

If FMEA fulfils his promise, I and other lesser mortals will probably have to await responses from our forum brothers who are far more technically minded and learned on such matters. We shall wait and see........

Mine is a '07 model so I shouldn't worry about, am I right?
Nope this prob. is also in Greece. jimp has the 5d 1.8 and he's got noise coming from the rear every time he goes over speed bumps and rough road. He too is in search for and answer. If I'm not mistaken, he has sent a letter to Honda stateing this suspension prob.

Although it may (or may not) actually be a suspension problem, rather than the problem described by FMEA

Jimp has a rear suspension problem. It has nothing to do with this matter.

I still don't know why this is a 'HUGE' problem. I guess as Doubtingthomas rightly says those of us who have no idea what is technical will have to wait for the great revelation to come from those that have a clue and can tell us if it is as bad as is made out.
