To be honest, i'm bored by the whole 'issue' and having been given the all clear by VOSA/Honda am more than satisfied that all is well.

What gives me more interest is the 'frankly bizzare and amusing' link to the Ford Motor company which still as yet has been unanswered. Neatly sidestepped on many occasions tho.

In the interim, I find it quite ironic that you set and expect a 1.5 day deadline on the evil VOSA with a "threat" to go with it, when you seem significantly less capable of keeping to your own deadlines!

Pottsy i think that FMEA's bluff has been called on too many occasions and he has failed to deliver every single time so is it now time to bin this thread?

Chatting with the Honda Mechanic this morning and he found this whole issue laughable.....his words, what a load of "Bull S*it", he has never heard anything so preposterous, he admits sometimes cars part spec's arn't good enough and fail or problems with the material, but he said he's never heard of a car company accepting parts that weren't up to their specification, in his opinion it is like a company saying we want a 1.6 litre engine block and the company thats casts/makes them coming back and saying here you are a 1 litre engine block then trying the "well it's an Engine block" excuse, it just IHO wouldn't happen.
