Instrument cowling squeek cure?

My car is a Type S. Whilst driving along the panel creaks when on uneven surfaces ( that will be most of the time then). If I put my hand on the smooth lip that surrounds the instrument binnacle and put firm pressure on it stops. When static the same area can be made to creak if pushed up and down.

Looks like it needs tightening or something place between the two surfaces. Can anyone tell me how I get to the fixings as I can be bothered putting the car in again as its already started talking Aborigine

Instructions on how to remove the fascia are in this thread

Replace the fascia with the Type R glare and scratch free one

As described in the thread, there is some anti rattle velvet that might need repositioning.

Could be worth a try: I silenced mine with silicone (spray inside and solid outside) - described in several loc. on Civinfo. At least in my case, there was no need to dismantle anything.

When I complained about creeks in the dash to the dealer, they removed the cowling and added a certain type of foam in the joint before reattaching it. Been silent ever since, at least in that area of the car...
