When the dealer can't find a fix
Car's going back to my dealer wednesday after previously in to sort out knocking from under the car which firstly they were unable to replicate, but however had given the car an examination and found nothing loose, worn etc etc.
After I'd demonstrated the knock ,the mechanic agreed the 'fault' existed and the second visit subsequently arranged. The question I ask is:assuming for a moment nothing is found a second time, can I expect my dealer to follow up the issue ,say bringing tech. assistance from Honda, or am I likely to have to fight my corner and insist the matter is further investigated, rather than accept being fobbed off with say, 'we find no fault with your car sir,we suggest you continue driving and see if the fault re-occurs' Advice and others' experiences gratefully appreciated! |

Keep fighting your corner and get the dealer to fix it, if they fob you off you can always tell everyone on civinfo. I know it is a frustrating experince
You may be able to diagnose the fault yourself with some help on here. It might be one of the common faults listed in the wiki (ie suspension) Faults - Civinfo Wiki . Good Luck Last edited by Munro; 27th April 2008 at 18:07. |

A warranty is only as good as a dealer's or manufacture's ability to resolve problems with their cars.If a new car is going to cause headaches/problems and drama with its issues, what is the point of spending upwards of 15k for that 'privelage'??For £1500 I can buy a runabout which yes is going to demand some care and attention, but I will at least be expecting that and can take consolation my remaining £13500 is actually making money for me.Oh well, rant over! |
