[Brakes] Brake Backing Plate Noise?

Hi There,

Just wondering if anyone else had ever had a huge scraping noise coming from the nearside front wheel. Driving along the other day suddenly a metallic scraping sound starting coming from my Civic 1.8ex. Had a quick look and then used the wheel nut wrench to bend the backing plate away from the disc and it fixed the problem!

Am getting it check at the next service probably next week but another annoying little thing.

Not heard of that before, I wonder how that got bent.

The only thing I can think is a large stone.

I know it is quite flimsy, but it is very strange.

my mate had that same problem with his type r... took it to honda and they just bent it back
