windscreen cover recall

Took my civic back to the honda for the recall at weekend and they asked me if i wanted the windcreen cover guard doing as that also on recall. Dont know what they actually done . Has anyone else had this done and what was the faualt . stupid never asked

I think this is the one that it was rubbing away at the paint work under the seal and casing it to come off, so in time you would get rust forming so they have changed it

I had mine done. It's the top strip. It can come loose and mark the roof.

Mine's now got to go into a bodyshop as the dealership found signs of corrosion as they were preparing to do this recall. Annoyingly, it sounds like it has to go in for a few days to get done.
