Obviously another thing sent to try us. My drivers side wiper started its 'croaking' 3 days ago on full speed and has now been caught by its half speed sibling. Interestingly seems intermittent. I suppose it shows how little rain we have had that these problems only have shown up recently.

This is the same noise i experience, it's coming from the motor of the drivers wind screen wiped.. i hear it especially on cold mornings.. after 4 hours it's gone... weird, seems like there's not enough lube or something in the motor which is moving the wipers

Any one been to the dealership about this problem yet and had a fix?
I have just had my volume up to 16 to try and drown out the noise of the croaking frog Argggg Whats worse a loud radio with interference or a croaking frog sound? |

Its an intermittent fault! Mine did it on the 16th two out of three times driving in the rain, it started on the right, went to the left then both sides but didn't do it the next day in the rain!!
Probably just another "charateristic" of the car |

Just found this thread and wondered if any fix has been found for this v annoying noise. Mine started this week and is definately a quacking duck rather than a croaking frog and taking the lead from Top Gear mag review I have christened it Donald.
Did anybody have any joy with a dealer fix or is it try oil and hope it goes away? |

Have decided not to wait for 1st service to to get this damn duck silenced - its driving me nuts.
So it was off to the dealer this am to get it booked in for this and the other items on my list (fuel flap, condensation in rear light cluster, headlining noises) . When the parts are in for the other probs they are having the car in and will investigate the wipers then. I will update you when I know more |

I was told by Honda to take it to the nearest dealership whilst it is making the noise as mine is intermittent, the problem is on the times it has done it I have been on my way to work so unable to divert!!
They forecast more rain tomorrow and I am off to the dealership anyway so im hoping it does it then. (You will find me most Wednesdays at the local dealership - it is my favourite place to be, lol) |

Well the frog/duck noise has been stopped by the dealer . Their cure was to oil it. It being described by them as a rubber washer. I guess time will tell if this is a permanent cure ( I think not).
Maybe I had better add it to the routine chck list ie. wash car.check tyre pressures and oil wiper motor driveshaft. Anyway they have fixed the other niggles (fuel flap changed/rear indicator housing changed) so thats a result I suspect that ,like me, a lot of the comments stem from the fact that the majority of owners love this car and are therefore a little obsessed about wanting it to be right. |

I thought oil might cure mine but I cant understand why the problem is intermittent, jumps from side to side or and sometimes is both sides. The dealership said they cant fix it without hearing it, and suggested it was a dirty windscreen!!!
I used the video on my phone today seeing as it never does it when I need it to !! LISTEN TO HOW IRRITATING IT IS!!!! Last edited by Topcat; 21st March 2007 at 08:26. |

Typical the car was behaving itself at the Honda garage, they watched my video (on my phone - I am not crazy lol) they think it is the motor but unless it does it in front of them I will have to live with it
