Well, the paint is peeling off the inside of my drivers door, so there wouldh ave been some stomping if they hadn't

Good, to know they admit it's a problem and hopefully one that will be fixed soon.

Mine has recently returned having been painted as the original paint had flaked in two places on both doors. The seal at the top is now not fitting as well as it did so its been back and will need replacing so another trip back. I'm averaging a trip a month!

Unless the paint is flaking off Honda dont seem interested or rather say its normal. I'm refering to the pebble dash front end.

Paint flaked off my Bumper and Honda UK were very interested in investigating this especially after the car hadn't moved for two weeks and had been washed in between, not parked near anything that could cause damage (unless the walls moved) and I have the flaked off paint in my possesion

Ha ha! I'm now awaiting someone trying this and finding out that the rest of the paint follows suit

Hey guys,

The car has just been delivered and a Hoda Jazz Auto picked up as my courtesy car (It's an alright car but not a Civ ). The lady was most suprised when I asked for it not to be washed....... I had to agree I wouldn't complain if it was dirty when I got it back..... I don't mind dirt I just don't want it either being done with a sponge and some rough sandpaper or a an electric carwash like the Arc right next door...... just imagine the paintwork looking then... Especially seeing as it went through one before I took posession of it

But with my Collinite on the way, next weekend is waiting

They also claim to know nothing about doing the inside of my doors, just the tops, hmmm and that they will try to paint the bit where my paint is peeling off......... ok, I thought Honda knew about this and that was why my doors were being painted, cos the paint's crap???????? (could use a different word, but there may be children watching).

Tom

My point exactly unless the paint is visibly flaking off they are not interested. Your car must be pebble dashed like the rest of our with stone chips

Nope, they are interested, as they didn't apparently know my paint was flaking off until they inspected the car after it had been painted...... but apparently it'll possibly go back in in two or three weeks time to be painted again!

Funnily enough its not, thats something to with the very little miles it has done and when it does usually move I tend to go out very late at night. My mate down in Essex couldn't believe how little chips I had but then I don't drive in traffic, don't do lots of miles, keep a good way back from other vehicals and honda were intersted because of the fact the car hardly moves, had done very little miles, the paint flaked off in one part where it would seem they have failed to paint sufficiently. And before anyone comments re nobody has sufficiant paint, when you can see the black plastic of the bumper clearly through red paint then its not been painted properly!

Yes I think we all know what one it is. I hadn't really been that close upto the bumper but I really should have checked when my mate showed me the tow hook covers he had replaced and they were very dark......on closer inspection it was because they had very little paint and the black was showing through. He just stumped up £24 for some new ones......suppose better than taking it up with Honda for that amount

Now thats its back I have had to complain about the seal not fitting tight at the top corner of the door and also that its would appear the BROWN STUFF was on the seam. A new seal was ordered ands now they recon the rust is not normal. So another paint claim for the door to be painted.

I AM SICK FED UP OF GOING BACK AND FORTH TO GET STUFF DONE. Thought my Pug 307 was back a lot but the uber reliable Honda Types S I have now has officially beaten it within 18months of ownership against the Pugs 3 years. Sorry for shouting folks!!
