Talking of stiff passenger door handles.

I had mine replaced because it was extremely stiff and.............the replacement is just as stiff if not slightly worse.

I will be going to a different dealer to have my handbrake done so I will mention it then and see if they want a go.

As my car is LHD, the driver's door handle is extremely stiff from outside, but the passenger door is simple and light to open. So the same problem as all of you Brits.

ps. Mine is brand new but VIN says 07. Go figure...

Thanks for the info.

This quite often throws us when it's quoted as a new car when it's a used car but new to the owner.

I think a lot of the original faults have now been sorted but some items are only dealt with if you specifically mention them to the dealer. Not everything is fixed automatically.

My 07 Civic 1.8 went 11 months without any issues, however I got a recall for the door handle which worked fine and since it was done 6 weeks ago it hasn't worked properly. It goes in next week for the 3rd time. Fuel flap which also worked fine had spring replaced 6 weeks ago and is now sticking.

You'll be alright - best get those issues looked at for peace of mind.
Hope you get your spaceship back soon.

PS - which dealer are you taking it back to? I use Alan Day in Enfield, North London.

Me too ''gulp''... there good, had no issues, but they charge too much for everything! So i shopped around an found that Honda in Loughton are far cheaper! I might be a tight a*se but hey...

Yes, mine too.

The poor quality feel of the front door handles was the thing that made me hesitate about buying this car.

I am interested to know that too. Mine has started over the last week or so to be a bit noisy, I will asked them to look at mine at the service.

I'd quite like to know too. I've had the fuel cap done (had a problem but thought it was me!) and the handbrake, but nothing else (that I know of!) I'll have to check to see what it might need!
