Left hand rear view mirror

Some muppet on a scooter smashed the mirror on the left side rear view mirror . Luckily the housing and indicator are fine but I need to replace the mirror itself. Does anyone know how much it cost to replace, if it's a dealer order only job and how long it could take to get? Visibilty is severly reduced so I need a new one asap. Comments appreciated.

Cheers

I sent a friend to Halfords when he needed a side mirror for his Ka; only cost about £4. Think it sticks in place with adhesive pads.

Make a 'shading' sketch of the o/side one and turn it over to check it fits the nearside and pop along to check out the sizes they keep. They may not have the current Civic yet, but another may be the same size. Worth a try.

Don't forget that they are also heated so will need connectors. I would suggest going to Honda. They are usually quite easy to fit yourself.

That's a good point; I don't think my friends Ka was heated.

Is the heater integral or does it just fix to the rear of the glass Maybe one of our 'Honda' members can advise. Could try contacting John Pease Honda to check.

Alan, all the heated mirrors I have seen have the heater element bonded to the rear of the mirror. It is just like a heated rear window only mirrored and a lot smaller
