Headliner Clicking/Buzzing Noises

I'm getting an irritating noise from the sun visor area on the passenger side. It's a quiet clicking or buzzing type of noise. It's possibly comming from the headliner or the a-pillar. Has anyone experienced this or is it just a quirk of the car?

It's doing my head in and gets worse on rough roads...grrrr!

I used get a similar sort of noise - if you press the lining firmly it stops for a while. Either it has gone away or I have got used to it now !

You could also try putting some silicon spray on the sunvisor hinge points.

I've fixed it (well 90% of the time at least).

I ended up buying some pipe insulating foam from B&Q, cutting a section of it out and pushing it between the headliner and the roof panel.

As per the arrow in the picture below.

As each day goes by a bit more foam finds its way into the car!

I had that a few weeks ago right above my drivers door, I pressed it as Munro suggested and it has gone and not returned.

I sprayed some silicon spray up that gap the full width of the windscreen, which may also help.

How can Honda design such an amazing engine and gearbox, yet cant make the car squeak and rattle free

That amuses me, in two years of Civic ownership I have accumulated a bag full of every type of foam, rubber, tape known to man, the Civic rattle repair kit.

I've just developed a new rattle which I think I've traced to the handle just above the drivers door.............It's driving me bucking farmy.

Any ideal on a fix? Pulling down hard and pressing up works for a while...
