Mine went into the dealership today and is in for a few days to get everything on my list (above) sorted I hope!

They are going to order and fit some new "synchros" for my gearbox as they did one last week on someone else's Civic which may have improved the gear changes.

Took Andy down the road for a drive in mine before I left it so he could quite easily hear the "raindrop" noise on the windscreen over every bump. They've already sorted the near-side pillar out on another so hopefully mine will be sorted...

Will report back in a few days!!!

Got my baby back tonight after 4 days without her...

Paint on rear caused by plastic fouling - photos sent to Honda to suggest a cure rather than just touch the paint up and it happen again, fair enough.

Failing left mirror motor, slow to go in/out, creaks and one cold day even failed to move out - replaced as far as I can tell, I hear a different whirring noise than before so something has changed, will see how it performs when we get some cold/frosty weather.

Creak from rear - tailgate hinges adjusted, will monitor this starting from tomorrow morning reversing off the drive.

Gearbox 2nd to 3rd too notchy - synchros replaced, too early to tell especially when I've got used to the *loose* petrol gearbox for 4 days, mine feels weird until I get used to driving it again.

Request "official" Honda HFT microphone fix - foam fix has been done I'm told, first attempt on hft tonight it worked first time, again will monitor this.

Dashboard middle vents rattle - hopefully fixed.

Nearside windscreen pillar, "raindrop" noise on windscreen - headlining problem hopefully sorted.

I drove home with no cd/radio on to listen to everything, deliberately aiming for manhole covers and divets, so far heard no pillar/windscreen noise...
Again, need to monitor this as it could be temperature related as well.

Hopefully my 6-month list of faults has reduced considerably

I’ve just booked my 3 month old Civic into Chiswick Honda to have the common issues sorted out (Filler Cap, Exhaust Rattle, Pass. Seat Rattle & Rear Shocks), and I must say I was pleasantly surprised! They did not deny the existence of these problems and admitted they've had lot of civics in to have the issues resolved under warranty! Looking good so far, let’s hope they fix them when it goes in!

Having had very poor service from Renault, Ford & Peugeot dealers in the past, my first impressions of Honda are good. They were professional, polite and honest – plus I got a quick date inc. courtesy car. On average I had to wait a month if I wanted a courtesy car with Renault and Peugeot!
