Rubbish Customer Service

After chasing the dealer since Friday morning for some answers in relation to the paint problems on my car this is what I have been told!!

Q. What caused the lights to rub the paint off the bumpers?
A. Not sure but its been fixed, I think it was something to do with spacing.

Q. What was the measurement of my paint thickness?
A. I am told your paint is fine!

Q. Did you actually take the measurements?
A. Yes we did.

Q. Ok, what were the readings?
A. We didn't write it down!!!!!!!!!!!! You will have to get an independant check done.

Q. What should the measurements read?
A. Anyone who deals with that type of work will know!!!

No mention of the rubbish marker pen repair to the bumpers either, I am told that Honda CS have my new new letter but not to expect a reply for quite some time as they are inundated at the moment!

So that is just great, there is no urgency to the problems I have written to them about but I would have expected better information in respect of the paint!!

ARGGGGGG it drives me mad

Yes, do. It will be interesting to see if you get a call first thing in the morning?

Sorry if I don't quite get this but so what? - if the dealer is crap then name and shame them I say!

If what you say is true and I have no reason to doubt any of it then why hold back? - everyone in here (and at Honda) deserve to know I reckon.

If it weren't for my friend's help I dont think I would have got some of the things done thats why I dont want to name them, it wouldnt be fair as the pre-sales were great, I think its more the service side and communication that lets them down as a dealership to be honest.

Although I am confused as to who has the final say, the dealership say its Honda CS and Honda CS say its the dealership

You bought the car from the dealer. It's the dealer's problem. Honda CS should just be a means of putting a bomb under the dealer if they don't do their job properly.

Oh! ok

Its the dealer that always tells me to write to Honda CS though and that I need to wait for their response!! So this must be their way of wiping their hands of it then

I thought they would have offered to change the number plates for me seeing as they messed them up it may be trivial but one of the things on the list of problems I gave them, I got the impression today that they will let me wait for Honda CS now but seeing as they never replied to my letter of 3rd June I doubt I will ever get anywhere then.

I think this is where Honda are going to fall down with shoddy treatment from the dealership.

I think also they have never had so many complaints and of such a wide variety, I dont think they can keep on top of it any longer.

Only wrote to Honda CS once, got a letter back saying that they would look into my complaint within 4 days, a week later got another letter from them with a successful resolution. A very happy chappie
