Who cares about the rear view? What is behind is less important than what is in front.
I drive a van during the course of my work and it has no rear window or rear view mirror! You just have to use both side mirrors and tilt your head a little to see directly behind you. The van is long wheelbase and I have no problems reversing into car parking spaces at Tesco, Sainsburys or Asda (Their carparks are all very tight and the van doesn't have reversing sensors). It just means that you have to use your side view mirrors more effectively. So who here needs a good rear view?

A rear wiper on the Civic would spoil the lines and thats a Crime! ufo.gif

Does make spotting cars that follow you more difficult.

The important ones are in the lanes either side of you!

If it was such an issue you shouldn't have bought the car! It's not like you didn't know there was no wiper when you handed over the £.

why dont cars have sesors at either side of your car where the blind spot is so when you use your indicator to change lanes the sensors will tell if there is a car by the side of you where the blind spot is

Volvo's have lights in the 'A' pillars that light up if a car is in the blindspot.

Maybe, but proper observation should mean that you wouldn't need them.

I knew it was an issue when I ordered.
But it does concern me all the same.
Oh well, it will have to be worth a few tickets to drive a space ship...

Noticed the same thing on first motorway drive-I did find it possible to fine tune the mirrors to cover the L/H blind spot but there wasn't much in it

Interestingly,on motorways but not noticed it on other roads, glancing in the rear view mirror, I found the horizontal bar across the rear window slightly tiring as my eyes focus on the vehicle behind, but are also confronted by the bar at a completely different distance.

Stupidly, I filled it in, then didn't go back to read what everyone else said!

Some very interesting results in there...

I'm surprised by some of the responses.

5. The dashboard plastic should be scratch resistant.

Don't care.- 13 2.75%
Not an improvement.- 10 2.11%
A slight improvement, but not worth paying for.- 45 9.51%
A major improvement, but not worth paying for.- 187 39.53%
A major improvement, I'd accept a small increase in cost.- 162 34.25%
I would pay good money for this.- 56 11.84%
Total Answers- 473

I don't see how anyone can say this is not an improvement ? I put the Don't Care's down to the CTR owners that already have it.

A few other 'not an improvement' surprised me like better suspension. I read that as not a quality issue as such but just a request for more supple suspension.

Somethings were actual FEATURE improvements, but somethings were more QUALITY improvments which perhaps people feel shouyld be in there by default.

I would like to see more movement/adjustment for the steering wheel, so I could see the upper part of the main screen (where the rev counter is).

Anthony.
