I am one of those with on going problems (my main problem is Honda CS ignoring me and my solicitor, that really winds me up more than anything) most of the problems including the radio issue I have learnt to live with as frustrating as they are and having spent £15,000 on a car I did not expect to have had so many courtesy cars within the first year of ownership.

However, slightly off topic but having just sat and watched a couple of hours of comic relief and some of the dreadful stories of poverty, death and children suffering in so many countries (including the UK) I have to say that I have a home, food, a job, my health and two lovely children. Yes we all have our own problems in life, problematic cars included but we are actually the lucky ones!!

Unusual sentimental rant from me over
Well said Topcat. We do tend to forget how lucky we are in some respects.

Have seen poverty in Sri Lanka & Egypt but I know there are even
worse off people. ( hence the reason I was in a silly wig and other clothing for the best part of today
all in the name of charity you understand)

Thats my point exactly, I'm not affiliated with Honda (neither is this website!), I'm not an engineer either. The people that can help you are Honda and trading standards. I wish you luck though! Just think trying to put off buyers based on a minority of bad experiences is 'bad craic'.

a year on

I have tried contacting trading standards and was told you have a good case to sue the garage
Now I have had mine just under a year and still have three unresolved faults which the garage admit but say they are waiting for honda to come up with a fix for two of them
if the 2007 models have no faults then why can't they fix the 2006 models
I drove a 2007 model and it had the same fault with the radio and aircon
the suspension was much better than mine
My car knows its on way back to dealer its been so many times

I wish somebody had put me off buying a honda

but in the past they had good name

http://www.analogx.com/cgi-bin/cgivi...ubmi t=Decode

i have checked my car was built in 2007

so i have reconsidered and will take the risk
and buy the car

just hope it will be OK

as all i can think is people saying told you so if i get problems.

hopefully i will not however it does concern me when you see list of over 5 things incorrect just hope i don't get a lemon .

some times you may need to involve the ombudsman
when you have a dispute like this

www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk

i have found when you involve them it gets things moving

peter

Before you buy take a car out for a long test run with the aircon on auto and set to 19/20 degs if after about 45to60 mins the temp is still constant and not blowing cold air its okay
I lived in desborough for 4 years and the radio should work fine it that area and you have decent roads so apart from the aircon you should be fine

Its still a car thats good fun to drive its just not suitable for East Sussex with the south downs that steal radio signals and roads that are falling apart

No excuse for the aircon though

I sure if you mention the problems mentioned on this site the dealer will let you have an extended test run if he won't beware

Peter I have every confidence that you will enjoy your car. As stated before it's the same people saying the same things on the site and 90%+ are very happy with our cars.

Not you! Perhaps my people comment was poorly chosen, I just meant the same topics were being rehashed again and again. I meant no offence to anyone and certainly not TC (possibly the unluckiest of them all!). Sorry if I came across wrong. I just dislike that people are being put off by the minority.
