Suspension Knocking noise in the back.

I thought I would give an update about the knocking noise from the back of my 3 week old Civic EX, I finally got round to putting it into the garage yesterday thinking it would be the shock absorber but the garage rang me back in the afternoon to say a stone had got caught in the back suspension.

I have never had this happen before and am wondering if anyone else has had that, the garage first told me that it was not covered by the warranty but when I explained that the car was only 3 weeks old they decided not to charge. As I say I am a little worried as to how often this can happen and if the Civic is more vulnerable than other cars as this has not happened before?

Yes, I have had road chippings trapped between the bottom of the coil spring and the suspension arm. It wasn't causing any knocking for me though, so maybe your stone was somewhere else.

I must have rocks and boulders in my suspension the noise it makes now
