I also know three people with the civic - all of which have had problems. Isn't the point the fact that the dealerships appear to be unable to sort the problems out - even those with the common faults like fuel filler cap are finding the replacements fail after time. |

10 months 7 months & 6 Months all found the dealers to be extremley helpful - yes the ones with filler cap were a bit miffed at having to go back more than once to the dealer but knew that they had an all new model and this was one of its teething problems. A colleague from work had to have her car's front and rear shocks replaced as they were making a bit of a racket - but since the work has been done she has not had any other problems These are 3 Happy civic owners. I have said it before and I will say it again the owners with problem civics are in the minority ( The fuel Filler cap and Shocks issue may have been a little more widespread but that can be put down to the all new model) as for other issues some people have experienced with their cars -I have never disputed that Honda should have done more for those people with problem cars but you must realise that a high percentage of civic owners are over the moon ( say 95%) maybe more maybe less without speaking to all Civic owners it is hard to say but I dont think that figure can be far out |

Brodick - you base what you say on other people's experiences with the car (not problem free I may add) not on owning one yourself.
I on the other hand base what I say on the experiences I have had personally owning a Civic and they are not good! |

This has nothing to do with if I currently own a new civic or not.
My posts are bases on facts from friends and colleagues who have the same car as yourself TC ( actually 2 ES & 1 EX model) and have had none of the problems you have experienced ( apart from shocks & fuel cap) along with experience of the service I have received to date with being a Honda our present Cars ( '04 Civic & '04 CR-V) My friends and colleagues could not be happier along with the majority of other Civic Owners. Making bold statements saying Honda's are poor and even thinking of going to a showroom to tell prospective owners what you think of Honda is just not on. yes you have been very unlucky but you could have bought a focus and had the same problems if not more You cannot put people off buying a car just beacuse you have had X number of problems ( some worse than others)when there are 900,000 happy owners ( including my friends) Having said all of that Honda should be doing their upmost to help people like yourself or giving their dealers directives to do so |

think we're wandering slightly off topic here, and into realms of issues with the Civic - a well documented problem(s) in other threads.
This thread started off with a query about HCS returning calls, and has (understandably) migrated into a discussion on the quality / reliability of the Civic in general. Obviously the two topics are linked - it's unlikely you'd be commenting / querying about HCS if your Civic was fault free! Anyone want to attempt to get it back on track? |

yes they did return my phone call
but the dealer didn't so i had to drive there the answer why they didn't return the call was we had nothing to add as we were waiting for a call back from honda back to where we started |
