I got a call from my Honda dealer a week ago saying the fuse box needed changing. It's going in this weekend to get done. It's a 2.2 diesel as well so it doesn't look to be a petrol only issue.

Yes this is to fix the flat battery problem, there is a bulletin at dealerships about this. There is a fault on a certain vin range, i think most of them being 2008my cars. The dealer will replace the fusebox under warranty. Worth getting your car booked in for if you ask me.

Been to dealer regarding alarm problem and mentioned civinfo and said apparently the fix is a modified fusebox, they turned round to me and said this only affects the 08 civics and not 07, so this recall is it just for the 08 then? anyone from Honda here?

Odd - given the fact that the MICU has been associated with flat batteries since early/mid 2007 (example). Maybe there is more to it...

I followed a Honda UK recall checker link . I typed my VIN but I got an error message "Invalid VIN" . So this checker works only with the UK selled civics ?
