Yes Geoff that is a good point lol !!

Well I would be complaining to Ruislip Honda and I have every faith in them, I am sure they would put it right.

Chiswick messed up my number plates and wouldn't put them right so Ruislip replaced them for me, when I got home I noticed that the back one had a big blob of glue stuck over one of the digits, Ruislip replaced it for me straight away and couldn't be any more apologetic - I like Ruislip

Yes.... And No! Honda pay any dealer to fix problems under the warranty. I had mt Fuelcap replace on Thursday and it was not the dealer I bought the car from!

So if your dealer is failing you move dealerships, they may even like the fact that the other dealer couldn't fix it had try a bit harder!

TC - ah yes, I'd forgotten the B&Q trolley, sorry!

I'm sure (from other complementary comments in here) that Ruislip will do youproud

But £800 is still a lot of money

From what you've said, the report stated that the paint was 'adequate' - I guess the question is whether or not you are looking to push this further.

Having a respray will (I would have thought) pretty much nix this, but I can also understand that you don't want to be driving round in a scratched car for any longer than you really have to.

At very least, get a lot of pictures - and I would recommend checking wiht your lawyer for they take on what affect it may have on your claim

But yes, you will be amazed at what scratches a detailer can get rid of with 'just' careful but prolonged use of top rate products.

As a guide, when I had my TT done, I paid (from memory) about £250 and the guy took all day on the car - and this inlcuded leaving me about £100 worth of cleaning product.

OK - so that wasn't to get rid of scratches (TT was only a month or so old at the time) - but the difference it made!

PS - seeing as how you have already met him, give Paul Dalton a ring - if he can't sort it, no one can, and it's time for a respray

And you can tell Ruislip that I went there on your recommendation.

Paul said he wouldn't be able to remove them, it needs re-spraying an his friend would charge me more than Ruislip from what he said.

I took the car in today, told them I was really worried about the repairs showing, they assured me they won't show and then went on to say they were more worried I would get another scratch as soon as it is fixed

Thought it was funny that they are actually thinking that, they know my car is a damage magnet as Basegreen once said.

Were you in a mood at the time TC and they were refering to the look in your eyes and 'scratching the eyes out' of one of their engineers?

"I've just fitted Millie with strobe lights. Now it looks as tho I'm the only one moving!"
