Squeaky rear suspension

Noticed that my rear suspension is squeaking when I sit on the rear seats with the door open at both sides, and also if I reverse down a dropped kerb I hear it.

Any ideas?

Is this a different issue to the original fault found on some models where you would hear some nasty sounds when going over speed humps etc???

Mine squeaking problem solved at first service. Rear right side spring were installed upside down in factory. Now corrected and squeaking is gone.

BG - wasn't this the subject of an earlier thread & Pottsy came up with the opinion that it was the type of suspension at the rear rather than a fault (ie a characteristic!)?

Nope - in my case it was the faulty, recalled(ish) shocks. Got them replaced under warranty, and no noise any more.

In that case I'll mention my squeaky rear suspension on my first service!

Rear Suspension Thunk

Just to pick up on a comment earlier inthis thread.
My rear suspension thunks over the large spedd humps, specifically when I come down off then, is this the infamous rear shocks issue?

Any ideas.

I think the original shock fault was over any bump, the shocks made noise.

All shocks make some noise if the rebound rate of the shock is faster than the speed of the changing road surface, i.e. the suspension returns to normal length whilst in "mid air" over the hole etc...

Also, if it a LARGE speed hump then you may well be hearing the noise of the tyre coming off the edge of the hump and hitting the road again, like dropping off a curb at speed king of thing. maybe.
