Hi all

Nice to see the post still running, ive removed all the bungs and waxolyed inside the door panels - i have had not had any problems yet

My advise is to remove the bungs completely i wouldnt bother with cleaning them and refitting. I also advise you to soundproof the inside of the doors (if your taking the panel off) and waxoly the areas left out especially the inner door seams and bottom edges, as this is where the dirt will collect.

Dont worry about wind noise - you wont hear a thing amongst the normal rattles and squeaks

Good luck and long live Jeremy Clarkson

might be worth taking the middle bung out of each door so the water does not get trapped. not sure what the doors are made of but you don't want them rotting!!

drainage gromits

went to my dealer yesterday who found a bulletin ref. to rubber plugs/gromits - they no longer put them in on production line(I checked the cars in show room) and suggested to remove them - which I have done.Should I have let the dealer remove them(he did offer, but told him I could do it at home) but since have thought, if there is any corrosion he would have probable had a record!
