Dealer Fitted mats.

Sat waiting for my boy to come out of school and I noticed that my drivers side mat was moving all over the place. On further investigation I found that the "special retaining frame" that, according to my dealer should only be fitted by the dealer was completely floating on the breeze, having worked loose underneath the seat rail. I would have thought that a dash of loctite would have been part of the fitting.......

Bloody annoying but at least the car goes straight now, in fact i think all the faults are now sorted, my wife however, now hates the car and wants rid cos of all the initial probs.

Just thought I'd share.

My retaining plate came extremely loose as well (was a dealer fit). Was all tightened up during the cars first service. Not a major thing I know but seems strange that such a simple couple of nuts should come loose....

Thought I'd share that with you as well.

You'd think they'd use a bit of thread lock on them. It'd add pennies to the cost of fitting yet would save on on maintenance costs.

If mine are anything to go by, they were fitted finger tight, without using a spanner.
