The "S" in Honda CS exists

Just called Honda CS about a discrepancy between the website and the dealer regarding "some work" needing to be done. The website said something was outstanding, the dealer had no record of it. Called Honda CS, they answered immediately, put on hold briefly while he tried another dept. No solution, so he took my mobile no., said he would call around the proper depts, and called back 5 mins later to say that there is no oustanding work, and the website would be updated.
After such bad telephone customer experience with my Internet Provider (the coulourful, fruity one), my experience with Honda CS was a refreshing change!

PS: I realise I might be in the minority here, and that my 'problem' was minor compared to some on this website.

Glad you had a good experience! Maybe there's hope yet - not that I'm counting on having to call CS too much

For any faults so far I have gone to my local dealer & largely been disappointed by their lack of thought/consideration - I will go to my next nearest next time.

So why do people chose to call HCS instead of going to their dealer? Is it fine to do either or do HCS tend to refer you to your dealer anyway?

I first called my dealer who said there was nothing outstanding, and that I should get a letter if there was a recall. I just wanted to confirm with HCS that there was no recall, especially after hearing about so many of them on here!

I have an oustanding recall but have never received a letter.

If you haven't had any recall work done yet then lets hope that HCS didnt get it wrong, why was it put on the website in the first place? personally I dont think they have a clue what they are doing it would appear they are very incompetent.

If they can lose three recorded delivery letters, a solicitors letter and have no record of telephone calls or email they are lacking in communication somewhere along the line.

As someone pointed out in your recent thread, obviously they aren't used to having to deal with so many problems on a car.

Maybe they had new 'vertical filing' installed, would explain your letters going missing!

LOL - well I have the recorded delivery slips and I looked them up on the Royal Mail website and have printed off the copies of the signatures of the person that signed for them.

Sounds like you're going all "inch-high private eye" on them. I hope you manage to sort it out one day.

There will always be good examples of CS. Some people out there still care about CS, I can't fault my dealer for anything, super helpful. I think a solution for everyone would be to move to Norn Iron.

I am happy with my dealership, although I am now back in contact with the original dealership as I have told them its time for them to sort my mess out.
