Warped windscreen

Hello all,

I work in an office which is on the first floor, I parked my car under a window in the office yesterday, so I was able to look at the car from above.
The sun was shining on the car and I noticed that the windscreen looked a little warped (a little bit like persex looks!), as though it was a really tight fit and was being bent by the metal work around the screen. I looked at other cars windscreens (VW Polo, Saab and a Citreon Xantia) and they didn't look like this they were very smooth.

Has anybody noticed this before?

Checked out Millie this morning and she looks ok to me.

Can't say I have Joey, it's probably going to be difficult to take a photo to show us as well

There is no way the screen can be being 'bent' by the body, the way the screen is fitted to the body is to essentially 'rest' it on the aperture, the polyurethane adhesive then sets and bonds the screen in place. (but is a complient flexible bond.)

(anyway the screen would crack before it warped.)

It could be possible for the screen to have warped during manufacture of the glass but that would have caused many problems during the glueing and install process that should have highlighted the parts issue.

Are you sure it wasn't just an optical thing caused by a shadow or reflection etc?

Thanks Alex,

Sort of puts my mind at rest knowing it is rested on the body, although i am sure it is warped and not just an illusion...
I will try to take a picture of the screen and post it, and hopefully you will be able to see what I mean, it might just be me looking for problems..

Cheers
