The early Xantia's were good at giving you a soaking so they designed a soft rubber guttering around the edge of the tailgate. As you lifted it the water went round the edges and drained into the top channel then down the sides.

As long as you raised the tailgate slowly it worked.

Does sweating from all the driving excitement count ?

My dealer checked out my motor and reckoned that the reason the water was coming in was because I went out in the rain!

He pointed out none of the Civics have any devices for removing any rain water from the rear screen so therefore it is not advisable to go out when it is, or is going too, rain.

......don't need Rain-ex either that way!

Maybe he should therefore consider asking Honda to remove the front windscreen wipers for the users who follow his advice!

Morning all,

I was told by VW not to use my car in winter months on the motorway as this causes the brake disc’s to warp...

These people should be shot...!
