Question Rain Drips From Doors / Boot

Hi Everyone,

I have a few problems with my 1.8 EX but this one is annoying, everytime I open the door or boot when it has rained or is still raining water either runs on my head from the boot edge or drips on the drivers seat when I enter the vehicle! Anyone else have this?

Take some wash and go with you and save twice the time in the shower come rainy mornings!!

It is very annoying but after a while you remember to stand back when opening the boot, and I open my door really slowly when its raining

Water drips from open boot

I have also noticed this in the last couple of days, also if it's rained over night and the car is still wet it's not such a good idea to open the window as when you brake the water runs of the roof and into the car.

It's only water people. It won't kill you or your car.

On the type S, you get rain dripping in when the window is opened at any speed not just when braking!

I had the problem too, especially when I did open the window, and I did hate it! So I did decide to buy these things (I donīt know the english name for it )

I like to drive with a little bit open window and no rain comes inside now. Easy to install and really nice to have it. Iīm sure you can get it in the UK too.

Or don't open the window - and just use the a/c for fresh air.

The water with the windows open is very annoying, its not the odd drip, it actually streams in!

I wonder what the Civic would look like if it were reshaped specifically for the purpose of keeping water off peeps when opening the boot or when they have the windows open in the rain... probably not so cool.

Should've got heated leather seats - they help you dry out quicker!

My focus ST170 lets water in the window if the car is wet or it's raining it also appears to collect along the top of the door when you open it and flies onto the seat giving you a wet bum when you get in. This is not necessarily a fault specific to the civic! The boot doesnt do it though!

This happens in my ES, especially when I open the boot to retrieve my beloved golf clubs, and I used to get it in my old Accord 2.0 iVTEC. I fancy those things on my window posted above by our Milano red German friend. What DO you call them? Window-draught-excluding-rain-repellant-thingummybobs?
