Recalls Recall from Honda Motor Europe (South)

I've been throw out of my bed saturday Morning by the Postman for a "recomended letter" (the one you have to sign to have it) from Honda Europe South (France) :

Dear Sir,

You are the Owner of an Civic Honda and we hope that this vehicule fullfil your expectations (up to now it was ok) ...

The quality of our product being one of our concern, Honda Motor as noticed that the constructor plate, linked to your car homologation, may have an error. (What ! Sending me a letter and waking me Saturday morning for that !) ...

So my first recall from Honda is for an administrative problem, Someone who as done his job not correctly, mabe inverting n° or something like that

Did anyone else recieve this letter ?

This was the recall that was flagged on the Honda website for my car.
When the garage told me why the car needed a recall, I thought the guy said something about the chassis number plate. It all sounded odd, but he told me that it wasn't a safety concern, and to just drop the car in whenever I was about.
Seems a bit odd to send out a recorded letter if if the recall doesn't matter that much.

You're right it's seems me very odd too, It could have been done during the first service.
But it could be a problem if the Police check the car and found that the papers are not in line with the constructor plate (could it be a problem like that, really ?)

That's one's been around for a bit, ( if it's the same one).
The VIN on the plate has an extra character, easy one to check too.

Ahh, yea, remember that, went fishing about southampton and avonmouth for the other bleeding cars lol
