I will check mine today too ! Six month old, 17 000 Km at the clock and mus be serviced before next month ! we have planned a long trip to Norway ! but the seat looks good. The handbrake has a little dent on the side, the hard plastic at the bottom of the doors shows scratches... Not a new car any more ... But it's smells always good when I step in, and when I sit in I still have the "Civic grin" on my face !!!

This has already been discussed on this forum. I had seat covers replaced under warranty although watch for dealers breaking seat back clips. Mine was retrurned with the seat back hanging off, dealer tried refitting with new clips but is still less than 100%. I would think that the inconsistancy featured between cars is down to seat adjustment for individuals as this will vary the point at which seat belt contacts seat.

Although as with many problems both Honda and the dealers prefer to stick their heads in the sand and try to ignore their Customers. Just when will someone from Honda UK apologise just once for the problems we have experienced.
As prevention is better than cure, I thought about fitting some pads before the wear started. Would I be right in thinking that something like this is what you suggest?

I rather liked the 'Type S' motif, for obvious reasons.

I mentioned it to the dealers, they took a photo of it, sent it off to HQ and later contacted me to arrange to have the seat recovered.

Anyone else noticed the same problem?
Had photo of seat taken today at dealers of worn area and will wait there response. In the meantime have attached those comfort seat pads over stitched part.

I'd be straight back with it.

How are your seats bearing up, any signs of wear on the raised side parts.

Have attached a picture to show anyone interested the problem more clearly.
after 1 or 2 pictures had been taken(I could have used your photo- we must be the same height) have been informed dealer has new cover WITH ALL CLIPS and will fit it next week.Hope it goes alright, a bit apprehensive !.No mention of sorting belt out,I will still continue using comfort pads tho'.
