Faulty Windows?

howdy howdy howdy

Had my car about 6 months now. As the weather has been getting a bit better, I've been using my windows more, and I've noticed that if I start to close them and leave them on auto, then switch off the engine, only the driver's side window continues to close. The passenger one I have to hold down the button to close it myself.

I was wondering if this is a fault, or if they all do this?

Cheers

Seem to remember that my last car did this also (Rover 75), come to think of it wasn't the 75 designed when Honda & Rover were in partnership? Perhaps they still use the same window modules.

No, I think you will find that the 75 was developed during the BMW partnership.

At least it was released then, can´t say I know where the technology came from.

But they may have used the same component from a sub-supplier.
It is not impossible.

In any case, the car appear to do this by design and it is not a fault.
Odd.

Never even knew the driver side keeps on closing after you turn off the engine. I sorta got used to first waiting for it to close before I turn off the engine. Used to be that on all my previous cars.

I'll give it a try this afternoon (if the weather clears that is, looks too dreadfull to go for a drive now)
