btw, i got it serviced at the same time while installed the AEM intake, changed engine oil, spark plug n oil filter, but i dont think these can cause the problem

I had the same problem. As your new intake draws in more air, the ecu tells the engine to pull in more fuel, which can result in overfuelling, if you have to stop quickly, after some sharp acceleration, such as at lights or a junction. As long as the light goes out again, after a few miles, shouldn't be a problem. Need to adjust your right foot a bit!

It's not about 'drawing more air'.
Difference is extremely low.
However, what DOES make difference is you disturb resonance frequency of air (due to different intake length), and this can affect reading of MAF sensor - which it does.

I fitted the AEM to my R18 and its supplied with a Venturi to correct the MAF reading.

I'm not sure if yours comes with one, but if so check its been installed the right way round. It'd be an easy mistake and would throw up a warning light.

Im concerned for an injen cai coming in the post about this problem.
Even though the mass air flow sensor can be switched as i seen in a tutorial on another forum, can this problem still arise? If so how can i get around this somewhat annoying problem.
