Squeek above drivers door?

Hi fellows,

I need to get rid off annoying rattle sound which comes from the drivers side above the drivers door. It sounds like plastic is rubbing somewhere, but I can't locate what causes it. I have tried to stuck handpaper under the "roofliner" so that it just would stop...but it doesn't help. Here's a picture where the sound comes from..
Please help..I am going more insane than I normally am..

Ik also have the same problem. When pressing to it, the sound is gone for some minutes. My car goes wednesday to the dealer for it's first service (20.000 km). I will ask then if they now how to solve it.

Greetz,
Dennis

Yes, we are talking about the same problem. That's right, when pressing it, the sound is gone for few minutes..and then it comes back..

I'm very sorry because of your problem, but I'm pleased that someone else is suffering with the same thing

Let's work it out!!

Hi, try spraying (wiping) carefully, some silicon spray on the rubber door seals, this worked on previous cars with a similiar sounding problem.

not a bad idea you can try that also but I think there is another problem
there are some cables in the roof liner and they are not fixed properly and as they vibrateing etc. they are making a noise.
I have just put some foam under the cables and now it is fine..
ask pcr he made the same and he has a better english than me

I also thought that it's cables where it comes from, but in my case I think it's not. But got to still try that foam thing.. With papers I didn't get rid of the sound. Thank's for the tip!

ok but be careful! it's not very easy to remove the roof liner and the airbag is there also!

I would better go to the dealer and tell him your idea, let him do it!

Today my car had it's first service. I ask the dealer to look at the annoying rattle sound which comes from the drivers side above the drivers door. They have removed a littlebit of foam, because that was gliding against the steal. On my way back (50 minutes drive), It was very quiet in the car (offcourse the radio was on hahaha).

The strip on the upper front windscreen was replaced by a recall of Honda, because the original one could damage the paint. Also they have placed a sort of spring in the fuel cap. With the replacement of the fuel cap, they didn't have that piece in stock. (But my fuel cap has no problems after the first replacement).

It also had the small service (20.000 km). So filters, oil, rubber, total check, etc. has been done. Total costs: €176,00 Euro....

SEE YA!!

Yep same thing here with the front windscreen and with the fuel cap. They are ok, but can you explain where actually the foam where took off? Because there is still couple of weeks when dealer is going to check it..but it makes me so insane that I could try it right away. So tell me please?

I got the dealer to check this at my last service. When I picked the car up I was told there's a service bulletin for it. Apparantly when the car is built they leave some plastic clips in place on the lining. However, they have found these work loose and start rattling, so anyone that complains they remove the roof lining and the loose plastic bits. As someone said earlier not a DIY job as there's curtain airbags up there.
